What should I do if I get uncured resin, rubber, or foam on my skin?
Accidental skin contact should be addressed immediately while the material is still in its liquid state.
Most Smooth-On products are not intended for prolonged skin contact. If uncured material contacts your skin:
- Remove excess material with a disposable cloth or paper towel.
- Wipe the affected area with a soft cloth dampened with mineral spirits or acetone.
- Thoroughly wash the area with soap and warm water.
- Remove and wash any contaminated clothing.
Do not use solvents on broken, irritated, or sensitive skin. Avoid aggressive scrubbing, which may increase skin irritation.
If redness, irritation, or an allergic reaction develops, discontinue use and seek medical attention.
Always wear appropriate protective gloves when handling liquid resins, rubbers, foams, coatings, pigments, and other casting materials.
